Terms of Service

1. Overview

RPG Sage Art (“Service”) is a campaign art management platform for tabletop role-playing games, operated by RPG Sage (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activities that occur under it. We use passwordless magic link authentication — no passwords are stored. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. Content Ownership

Your content: You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service, including session notes, audio recordings, entity descriptions, and campaign context.

AI-generated art: Images generated through the Service using AI models (Google Gemini, OpenAI) are provided for your personal and campaign use. Ownership and licensing of AI-generated images follow the terms of the underlying AI model providers.

Merch: When you order merchandise featuring AI-generated art, you represent that you have the right to use that art for personal merchandise purposes. We are not responsible for any intellectual property claims related to AI-generated content.

4. User-Uploaded Content

When you upload images or other content to the Service (including reference images for AI generation), you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the content or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and use it;
  • The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or rights of publicity;
  • You have obtained any required consent from individuals depicted in the content.

By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and use that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded content.

We do not pre-screen uploaded content but reserve the right to remove any content that we believe in good faith may infringe third-party rights or violate these Terms.

5. Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on our Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent containing:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  • A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on our Service;
  • Your contact information (name, address, phone, email);
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf;
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We will respond to valid DMCA notices by removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing content. We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of repeat infringers.

6. Merchandise Orders

Merchandise is produced and fulfilled by our curated third-party production partners. Prices are displayed in US dollars and include shipping. All sales are final for custom-printed items (see our Refund Policy). Payment processing is handled by Stripe.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
  • Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service
  • Share account credentials or access tokens

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party APIs (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Stripe, AssemblyAI, and our production partners) that may have their own outages. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL RPG SAGE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.
